SUSTAINABILITY AT UNIVERSITY OF PANNONIA

The values and competences of the University of Pannonia regarding sustainability and the circular economy are not only addressed to students but to industry, market and academic actors seeking answers to the technical, economic and social challenges of our time. We hope these actors will be our partners in the attempt to answer the questions that will shape the future. The basis of the education providing high-level, marketable knowledge is the internationally recognized research, development and innovation activities of the institution, which are translated into directly usable results created through joint projects with partners.

Over the past decades, the University of Pannonia has accumulated considerable research and academic experience in the fields of natural sciences, engineering, information technology, management and tourism, with the undertaking of deeds both nationally and internationally. Along this, the University has examined its values, competences and opportunities, and has made sustainability and circular economy a priority discipline in its teaching and research and development activities alike.

Our University recognized the importance of environmental protection and sustainability early on and was the first in the country to introduce higher education activities in this field (e.g. Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Development Specialist study programmes).
